TNA created their Hall of Fame in 2012 to celebrate the iconic figures that helped establish the TNA brand throughout its history. The decision was made to open this in 2012 as it was their 10 year anniversary. Unlike the WWE who celebrates a large number of inductees each year, TNA sought to induct one talent, or team, per year. Instead of it being a wrestling Hall of Fame celebrating the accomplishments of talent throughout the industry, TNA's Hall of Fame is company spacific.
TNA's Hall of Fame is designed to honor those who contributed to the brand the most. Inductees are typically announced at Slammiversary with their ceremony happening the weekend of Bound for Glory. Early ceremonies, such as Sting's, were included on the DVD release of the pay-per-view much like the WWE includes the Hall of Fame ceremony DVD on their WrestleMania releases. However, the Jeff Jarrett induction was announced on the July 15th episode of TNA Impact Wrestling and Jarrett was inducted on the July 29th episode.
