Best of British Wrestling - 13 Disc DVD

This set includes 13 discs of World of Sport wrestling. These episodes re-aired in 2011.

In 1985, World of Sport ended and pro-wrestling was still broadcasted, but this time with its own program that featured matches from both the UK and also the WWF. In 1988, ITV decided to stop airing pro-wrestling, a tradition that lasted for 35 years (which goes back to 1955, when pro-wrestling started airing regularly on British TV).

In 2004, the new UK-based satellite station The Wrestling Channel (later the Fight Network UK) started broadcasting classic matches from that era, sometimes airing "separate" matches, other times airing compilations of matches in an "episodic" format (whose intro was the classic intro from the time pro-wrestling was aired on ITV as an "independent" program). After the channel closed, another channel picked up the concept and aired compilations of those matches also in an episodic format during 2011. That channel was men&movies (now more>movies) and the episodes featured on this pack are from those airings.
