A great show worth owning, The Super J Cup of '94 features a lot of talent (obviously) and a lot of classics. Anyone who's anyone knows about the classic Wild Pegasus (Benoit) vs Great Sasuke & Great Sasuke vs Jushin Lyger matches, but even excluding them I'd say this is worth getting.

One gem that stands out and doesn't get enough love (even from Meltzer who gave it the lowest ratings on the card, still a 3 though) is Ricky Fuji vs Lyger which was a really nice surprise and my third fave off the set. Its obvious who's going to win but Lyger's psychology is on point throughout and it had quite a few nice spots that weren't messed up.

Some botches keeps the event from being perfect for me but every match has something good to offer...

...Except El Samurai vs Masayoshi Motegi. That match in all honesty just wasn't good at all. Motegi was sloppy and had a lot of not so small mistakes. Nonetheless I'm really glad to have seen the show pretty much from beginning to end.
